BAU 2023 - our highlights

After a break of more than four years, the world's leading trade fair BAU took place again this year. From 17 to 22 April 2023, 2,260 exhibitors from 49 countries presented their innovations in the 18 halls of Messe München. Our experts too presented our numerous product innovations from actuator and control technology, as well as textile fire protection, to around 190,000 international visitors.
Our orange is now green: Biobased HE switch
Fire safety can be sustainable - as our new biobased SHE button proves. Its housing is made from 78 percent renewable raw materials and its production is significantly more environmentally friendly (maximum CO2 savings) than comparable materials such as aluminium or petroleum-based ABS. This is our contribution to an environmentally friendly and sustainable future

Two are better than one: PA-KL²-D

The PA-KL²-D double Folding Arm² has two gear units that are synchronised internally using SICO technology. This enables opening widths of up to 1422 mm with a force of over 1000 N. Due to the central mounting on the window, the lateral load on the mounting bracket is greatly reduced.

Conveniently invisible: PA-K-20

The compact PA-K-20 chain actuator is mounted or integrated directly into the window profile. Its unique feature is its low installation height of only 19 mm. Due to its compact design, it opens windows reliably with 200 N and while remaining almost invisible. Like all actuators of the PA series, the PA-K-20 can be synchronised with its partners - manually or simply via software.

Simply safer: SICO Safety Plug

The SICO Safety Plug is installed between the actuator and the SICO Plug. It sends an optical and acoustic warning signal. Thus, power-operated windows achieve protection class 2 according to the Machinery Directive - depending on the operation, e.g., in private rooms, sales and assembly areas. .

We were happy to welcome numerous interested visitors, customers, and partners to our booth with whom we had the opportunity to discuss the latest products and projects. For many of them it was the first personal reunion after a four-year break and the Corona pandemic. "We are looking forward to the follow-up discussions with architects, planners and customers. Interesting and challenging projects are sure to follow," said Managing Director Martin Weber, summing up BAU 2023. "This makes us all optimistic about the future."

Many thanks to everyone who made our trade fair appearance such a great success!
