Certified door opener - powerful folding arm² actuator with up to 800 N and adjustable opening angle

The EA-KL²-T Folding arm² Door Opener is an electromechanical actuator for the automated opening of doors. It is particularly suitable for self-closing doors that serve as supply air openings for smoke and heat dissipation in an emergency. The EA-KL²-T door opener is an extremely powerful actuator with up to 800 N - in this case the strongest certified door actuator for SHEV supply air openings. The pressure force in the "OPEN" direction is transmitted via a lever arm with a roller, which is not directly connected to the door leaf. This roller mechanism guarantees that there are no restrictions for manual door opening in normal operation and as an escape and rescue route.

The folding arm² door opener - manual and automated opening of doors without restriction

The EA-KL²-T door opener actuator can be used flexibly with regard to the installation situation and direction of rotation. It can be installed on the frame as well as in the reveal. Left and right side versions are possible. It is suitable for use on inward and outward closing elements. It is installed on the secondary closing edge. Various brackets are available for installation. Depending on the type of installation, opening widths of up to 125° are possible and, together with the extremely short opening time of less than 60 seconds, this guarantees rapid smoke extraction and ventilation in the event of a fire.

The systematic opening of doors to provide fresh air indicates at the same time the ideal escape and rescue route. This can be combined with signal displays and lights via a fire alarm system.

Practical handling through software interface

The door opener actuator is equipped with an integrated SIMON LINK software interface. Via this programming interface, settings such as stroke (opening angle) and force can be modified directly on site. It is also possible to read out the cycles as protection against unjustified warranty claims.

In both end positions OPEN/CLOSED, the actuator in the DC version also offers a potential-free contact. Work sequence controls and start-up delay are freely adjustable. The freely adjustable start-up delay makes the folding arm door opener ideal for the automated opening of double-leaf doors (faceplate application). The EA-KL²-T door opener actuator can also be used in combination with an electric opener and electric closer / motor lock (24 V DC, 2 A), which are installed in the door.

Certified according to EN 12101-2 for continuous function RE 1000

The door opener actuator EA-KL²-T is tested and certified for continuous operation (RE 1000) according to DIN EN 12101-2. The door opener, like all actuators of the type Folding arm², has a special kinematics and the high-performance gear (> 20,000 load cycles) in combination with the stainless steel lever arm is very resistant. The small installation dimension makes this automatic opener ideal for projects with a high aesthetic demand. The EA-KL²-T door opener is available in various types from 300 N to 800 N nominal load in the OPEN direction and is therefore particularly suitable for large and heavy doors. A short version of the folding arm² door opener with 500 N force has been developed for small doors with short leaves.
