Fire PROtec EI 60 MARC at Stone Designer Lampertz in Luxembourg

In the halls of the natural stone designer Lampertz, we installed two fire protection curtains of the type Fire Curtain Fire PROtec EI 60 MARC on behalf of Hurasys Luxembourg. EI 60 means insulating protection target over 60 minutes, certified according to DIN EN 16034. During this time, the curtain system ensures full thermal insulation thanks to the special coated fabric. Optionally, the additional classifications smoke-sealed Sa or smoke-proof S200 are possible.

Unlike fire doors, a fire curtain requires only a small amount of space, as it is simply fixed above the wall opening. This is an invaluable advantage, especially in the case of small openings - a transformer station, for example, is protected by a curtain with compact dimensions of 1.2 x 2.3 meters. But there is no problem with larger openings either - in this case 4 x 4 m in front of a hall passage. Maximum installations of up to 18 x 10 m are possible. The curtain systems can be mounted both on the wall in front of the opening, as in the example, and inside the reveal. This provides even more flexibility in planning.
