In the immediate vicinity of the Munich Oktoberfest on the Theresienwiese, a special solution for twelve flaps of a serving counter with 24 pieces of Folding Arm² PA-KL²-L-55/1200-S have been installed. The project was realized together with our partner, the company Schreinerei Blüml from Triftern for the Augustiner Wirtshaus am Bavariapark. In combination with a SIMON PROtec Modular ventilation control panel M-VENT control center, the operators are now able to open and close all dampers individually and with positional accuracy. This example shows that, in addition to the standard application of the Folding Arm² as an actuator for SHEV systems, special applications are also possible. Here, the staff of the Augustiner Wirtshaus am Bavariapark is enabled to open the 1400x1500m flaps, which weigh 70 kg, automatically and thus effortlessly.
The Folding Arm² PA-KL² stands for innovative Folding Arm² actuator technology with SICO BUS technology for perfect synchronization between the individual actuators. SICO-capable actuators are marked PA (Plugged Actuator) and can be connected to form groups. In this case, one actuator assumes the "master" function, all other actuators are "slaves". The synchronized actuators communicate via BUS within the actuator group and control each other's running behavior. This is "real" synchronization. PA drives can also be configured directly on site. However, with this manual setting, only two actuators connected in parallel are possible (one MASTER and one SLAVE). The manual MASTER-SLAVE setting can be made on site at the actuators by directly connecting the COM1 and COM2 wires.
