Plant fire protection plays an important role in modern fire protection concepts. It is necessary that the responsible fire chief gets full control of the fire object. The firemans override switch is an extension for the digital module control unit M-SHEV. Using the priority function, the various automatic schemes can be set using the manual triggering device, smoke detector and fire alarm system inputs. It is thus possible for the BMZ to close the smoke extraction flaps first, with the local smoke detector reopening the individual windows. But it should decide the fire department, which flap opens or remains closed. This is possible with the firemans override switch.
The additional SI-100 MASTER module generates a higher-level SHE group that can overwrite all alarms present. This is possible in the direction of OPEN as well as in the direction of CLOSE. For this, the module has to be integrated into the respective groups. The module is operated via the firemans override switch, which is secured by a key against access by strangers. When activated, the fire departments fire chief can override the assigned SHE groups individually to suit his tactics.
