A textile fire protection allows the client a much greater freedom of design in the realization of their buildings. Fire safety is important and must be just as reliable. To be able to use a building optimally, movement and opening areas are necessary. These unreinforced wall openings can be "invisibly" protected with smoke and fire curtains. During the day, the curtain is rolled up and remains in this position. The rolling box and side guide rails can be integrated almost invisibly into the ceiling and wall construction.

With the aid of smoke curtains, smoke sections can be formed and subdivided. It is also possible to channel arising smoke during natural or mechanical smoke extraction. Smoke curtains according to DIN EN 12101-1 are used in visually appealing rooms or in halls with racks and sliding cranes.

The term "fire-load-free zone" is not defined in accordance with the building regulations. Nevertheless, the zone exists in modern fire protection concepts, especially regarding textile fire protection and deviations more often again. For the explicit use of fire curtains, without insulating effect, the environment must consciously provide that the use can be permitted deviating. It is necessary to display a fire-load-free zone, so that in case of emergency by the fire protection no heat radiation allows spreading of the fire.
