Fire PROtec EI 60 MARC in norwegian detention facility

A few kilometers outside Oslo is the Ila Detention and Custody Center. The inmates and staff of the high security prison will be protected from fire by 16 curtain systems Fire Curtain Fire PROtec EI 60 MARC incl. Control System PROtec-RZ-24 and manual triggerings. We are pleased to provide them with a safe stay and thus indirectly contribute to the safety of the Norwegian population.
The fire curtain system Fire Curtain Fire PROtec EI 60 MARC is a fully heat insulating fire protection closure for over 60 minutes. The Fire PROtec EI 60 MARC is tested for EI 60 (insulating protection target over 60 minutes) and CE certified according to DIN EN 16034 - after completion of installation and acceptance, the system receives its CE mark with declaration of performance.

Fire protection curtains are textile fire protection closures made of a coated glass fabric that are rolled up and placed in a housing over the openings to be protected. In the event of fire, they are lowered by means of a guide rail, thus protecting buildings or parts of buildings from the flames.

In addition to its high protection class, the fire curtain offers great flexibility for installation. It can be installed either in a classic wall mounting or in a soffit. The compact roll-off boxes can be installed almost invisibly, and this with a curtain size of up to 18,000 x 12,000mm (WxH). The heart of the Fire Curtain Fire PROtec EI MARC is its multilayer silicone-coated fabric with additional insulation material. It is tested for over 10,000 cycles (C2) and thus meets all requirements for installation as a fire protection closure. With its insulating effect, the system can also be used without any problems in escape and rescue routes and for fire compartment separation.
